Fact of the Day Image Jan. 23rd

How do snakes, the long slithering reptiles, hear using their jaws? It is all because of vibrations. Vibrations are just how sound travels. When the snake puts it’s jaw on the ground, vibrations from animals move it’s jawbone back and forth. That sends a signal to the brain helping it hear and identify the sounds! That is how snakes are able to hear using their jaws!
