Even though the surface of Mercury, the 1st planet from the Sun, is over 364°F, the scorching hot planet has ice on it! Most of that ice is located in the sealed impact craters on the planet’s surface. Sunlight and heat can not reach that far into Mercury’s surface. There has also been ice found on the North Pole of Mercury because it does not recieve as much sunlight as the rest of the planet does. These amazing discoveries were made by NASA’s MESSENGER probe that orbited Mercury.
