Fact of the Day Image Feb. 17th

The ocean is full of plant life! You may think that most plants live on land, but there are big and tiny plants that call the ocean home! There are large plants such as kelp or seagrass. But, there are trillions of tiny plants called algae and phytoplankton. These small single-celled plants are microscopic. These microscopic plants also do photosynthesis, which means that they make food with water, Carbon dioxide, and nutrients! All, of these plants are all around the ocean from the surface to the bottom of the ocean! This is why 85% of plant life lives in the ocean.
