With their strong and long necks stretching 15 feet (4.6 m) into the air, you wouldn’t think that giraffes have the same number of neck bones as humans. Both human and giraffe necks are made up of 7 vertebrae (bones that run from your head to your hips). But, while a human neck bones measures at about an inch, a single giraffe’s vertebrae can grow up 2 10 inches (25 cm) long!
