Mars’ atmmosphere is a very thin one, that is made out of Carbon dioxide. The surface of Mars absorbs a lot of the Sun’s heat, so that stays pretty warm (especially at noon). But, some of that heat escapes Mars’ atmmosphere because it is very thin. That means that your head (which is higher off the ground) will feel very cold if you were standing on Mars’ equator!
