Some submarines can get crushed by the water pressure in the deepest parts of the ocean! Water pressure is the weight of the water pushing down on an object. Since there is more water above an object as you go deeper, the water pressure or the weight on top increases. That is why some submarines may get crushed at the bottom of the ocean, but some submarines are also built to withstand that force!
