A small bird called the loggerhead shrike actually hangs up its prey on sharp branches as a display! This small birds eats insects and small rodents. When it catches a meal, it sometimes hangs them up on sharp branches! This is to show-off to other birds and mates that they are strong and can catch prey sucessfully.
