Fact of the Day Image January 15th

Koalas sleep for most of the day! Koalas can sleep for up to 22 hours and go looking for food for the last two hours of a day. Koalas eat eucalyptus leaves and they are not very nutritious, so they don’t have a lot of energy. This is why they have to eat a lot and sleep most of the day to conserve their energy and to digest their food.
