Exhaust actually powers rockets! Cars, trucks, and airplanes need to get rid of their exhaust because it is not useful. But, rockets rely on the exhaust that comes from their engines to blast off into space! The intense energy that comes out of a rocket pushes the rocket off of the ground in order to launch it in the air.
